Vietnamese-American Entrepreneur Establishes Medical Glove Manufacturing Plant in Nevada, USA
The Alka Glove Manufacturing Facility project in Nevada is set to create hundreds of jobs with attractive wages, prioritizing the local community as well as industry experts from Vietnam.

Creating High-Quality Jobs and Competitive Wages for Vietnamese Workers in the US
Nevada, USA – A large-scale medical glove manufacturing project has officially launched in the town of Pahrump, Nevada, under the leadership of a Vietnamese-American entrepreneur – Mr. Andrew Hoang, Founder and CEO of Alka Products LLC. With a total investment of up to $60 million (equivalent to over 1,500 billion VND), the plant spans over 10,000 square meters and is expected to become operational by the end of summer 2026. This is one of the key projects in the region, aiming to produce medical-grade nitrile gloves to serve both domestic and international demand.
At the recent grand opening ceremony of the Alka Glove Manufacturing Facility in Pahrump, Nevada (USA), Mr. Paul Miller, Executive Director of the Southwest Central Regional Economic Development Authority, shared: “We had to navigate numerous complex processes from the state to the county level to bring this project to where it is today.” He emphasized that despite having participated in seven large-scale manufacturing projects throughout his career, this is one of the few projects with the resilience to overcome challenges and advance to the construction phase.
According to an Alka Products representative, the facility will create hundreds of jobs for the local workforce, with an average wage of $29 per hour (equivalent to nearly 700.000 VND per hour). Notably, the project also plans to recruit several experts from Vietnam, offering them opportunities to stabilize their lives and work in a professional environment in the US.
Mr. Tuan Pham, a board member of the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce, stated: “This factory not only marks economic development but also stands as a symbol of entrepreneurial spirit, revitalizing the manufacturing sector in the US with the participation of the Vietnamese community.”

Commitment to the Community
At the event, Mr. Bill Hockstedler, a voluntary senior advisor for Alka Products and a veteran politician in Nevada, emphasized: “The jobs created here are for the local people. I want everyone in Nye County to clearly understand that this is a real opportunity for the very community here.”
However, he also affirmed that the project integrates the EB-5 immigrant investor program, a legal program that allows foreign investors, including Vietnamese, to settle in the US when contributing capital to job-creating projects in the United States.

In addition to Mr. Andrew Hoang, the founder of the project, his spouse, Mrs. Jenny Truong, also plays a managerial role in the company. They are overseas Vietnamese who have lived and worked in the US for many years with the aspiration to contribute to building the United States while always looking toward their homeland, Vietnam.
The project is expected to become a symbol of cooperation between the Vietnamese community and the host country in the post-pandemic era and the green industrial development phase.
