EB-5 Voices Feature: An Interview with Newland USA – IIUSA’s Newest International Member
As IIUSA continues to expand its global footprint, international members play a vital role in driving transparency, raising awareness, and fostering collaboration across the global EB-5 ecosystem. Recently, IIUSA’s Director of Events, McKenzie Penton, caught up with Newland USA—a new international member based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam—to discuss their operations in Southeast Asia and the shifting landscape of US immigration.
Founded in 2023, Newland USA guides Vietnamese investors on their US immigration journeys with a strong focus on transparency, legal compliance, and long-term strategy. In this interview, the Newland USA team shares the significance of their IIUSA membership, evolving expectations among Vietnamese investors, and their vision for the future of the EB-5 program.
Below is the detailed interview, where Newland USA outlines its mission, its outlook on the Vietnamese market, and the value it derives from connecting with IIUSA’s global network and events.
1. About Newland USA and Regional Focus
Question: Could you share more about your organization and the work you are currently doing in Vietnam and globally?
Answer: Newland USA was established on October 25th, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City with the mission of “Sustainable Settlement – Lifelong Prosperity” (Fulfilling dreams – Enriching lives). We are committed to providing high-quality, transparent, and professional US immigration solutions to Vietnamese clients.
Currently, we focus on three primary immigration pathways: EB-5 Investor Visas, EB-3 Skilled/Unskilled Worker Visas, and EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) for individuals with exceptional abilities. Newland USA is led by Mr. Chau Tam Luan (Shia Chau)—our Founder & General Director, who brings over 15 years of experience in the migration industry.
While our primary market is Vietnam, we maintain close collaborations with international partners, legal counsels, and project developers to ensure adherence to global standards and to fulfill our corporate responsibilities effectively.
2. Connecting with IIUSA and the Global EB-5 Community
Question: What motivated your company to join IIUSA as an international member?
Answer: IIUSA represents prestige, professionalism, and leadership within the global EB-5 ecosystem. As a company dedicated to sustainable development and ethical standards, we view our IIUSA membership as a crucial step toward aligning ourselves with recognized international benchmarks.
Joining IIUSA allows us to stay continuously updated on policy changes, market intelligence, and best practices, while also contributing a Southeast Asian perspective to the broader narrative of the EB-5 program.
3. Investor Trends in Vietnam and Future Outlook
Question: From your observations, how is interest in US immigration evolving in Vietnam? What is the outlook for 2026?
Answer: The demand for US immigration in Vietnam continues to grow steadily, driven by long-term family goals such as children’s education, asset diversification, and global mobility. Today’s investors are much more knowledgeable and cautious; they place a far higher premium on project transparency, legal compliance, and long-term financial security.
For 2026, we forecast that demand will remain robust, particularly for EB-5 projects featuring rigorous structures, solid corporate governance, and clear job-creation roadmaps. Companies that prioritize transparency and investor education will be best positioned competitively.
4. Value Derived from IIUSA Events and Global Networking
Question: What value do you see in participating in IIUSA’s events and global network, particularly from your standpoint as an international partner?
Answer: IIUSA events create an essential platform for open dialogue among regional stakeholders, policymakers, developers, and service providers. For an international firm like ours, this participation bridges local market realities with global industry trends.
The IIUSA network fosters collaboration, trust, and mutual learning—elements that are absolutely vital for the sustainable health and growth of the EB-5 program worldwide.
5. The Upcoming Event in Ho Chi Minh City
Question: Your company is participating as a sponsor for the IIUSA event in Ho Chi Minh City this March. What are you looking forward to the most?
Answer: We are particularly excited since the event is being held right here in Ho Chi Minh City—a vital hub for US immigration demand not just in Vietnam, but across Southeast Asia. The event opens up invaluable opportunities for direct, transparent conversations between industry experts and regional partners.
As a sponsor, we are proud to support IIUSA in bringing accurate information, timely policy updates, and global insights directly to the Vietnamese market.
Question: What do you hope attendees will take away from your company’s presence at the event?
Answer: We hope attendees gain absolute clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of US immigration pathways, especially the critical importance of selecting the ideal solution tailored to their personal circumstances.
We want to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to our clients’ long-term success, ethical consulting practices, and compliance with institutional global standards.
6. Long-Term Collaboration with IIUSA
Question: Looking ahead, how does your company plan to engage with IIUSA and its members moving forward?
Answer: We view IIUSA as a long-term partner in our growth strategy. Moving beyond standard events and sponsorships, we look forward to continuously sharing industry knowledge, collaborating with fellow members, and actively participating in specialized industry discussions.
Our ultimate goal is to be a proactive contributor to the EB-5 community while strengthening the bridge that connects Vietnam to the global EB-5 marketplace.
